About Greg and Elaine Fedchak

Since working together at the National Security Agency (NSA), Greg and Elaine Fedchak have led active, complementary lives, he in the arts, she in information technology. Together Greg and Elaine Fedchak manage a small sheep farm in Boonville, a village in upstate New York.

Elaine Fedchak serves as an information analyst at SRC, a nonprofit research and development firm in Syracuse, New York, where she engages in information assurance and cybersecurity projects. Cybersecurity was also a priority at her previous position as an analyst for Exelis in Rome, New York. Earlier Ms. Fedchak was a programmer/analyst for IITRI (Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute) as well as a cryptanalyst for the NSA. On Sundays, she plays the organ at Forestport Presbyterian Church.

After serving as an NSA linguist, Greg Fedchak became a regionally-known abstract painter. His works have appeared in several group and solo shows, most notably a retrospective at the Frederic Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, New York. Mr. Fedchak is also a published author, having penned five novels for Windstorm Creative, later Orchard House Press. In addition, he was honored by the New York Press Association for his columns in the St. Lawrence Plaindealer.

The Fedchaks both graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He earned a BA in government and was a presidential scholar. She obtained a BS in mathematics and art history and both were inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
